The exercises we choose and the habits we develop can ensure we are able to live a lifestyle we love whilst maintaining our health and wellness.

Our exercise routines should build our bodies up and not tear them down so it’s essential that we choose our exercises wisely. The way we exercise also impacts our nervous system, our hormones and our minds.

After suffering from an autoimmune condition which effected me physically, mentally and emotionally, I was told that I could no longer train the way I was and that this was a condition that I would have to learn to deal with…and indeed I did.
But I was not willing to compromise everything and completely stop doing one of the only things I did for myself, so I began trialling many different ways to work my body to both maintain my health and improve my fitness.
After years of research, training and trialling, I eventually found a scientifically proven way that works!

I am now able to train my body in ways that does not cause flare ups, that builds my body up, balances my hormones and nourishes my nervous system so I can be fit and healthy.

Autoimmune conditions are prevalent in todays society and we are all affected in different ways. Some of the symptoms associated are fatigue, inflammation, joint pain, brain fog, IBS, anxiety and depression.

We must acknowledge that each of us require different approaches at different times but what I have found is that a yoga practice is the perfect place to start for so many of us.

Yoga has been one of the greatest gifts I have been given to totally transform my mind and body inside and out and is something that I have become very passionate about over the last 7 years. It's not all about fancy poses. It's about creating a feeling in your mind and body that supports you for the long haul.

Every time we get on our mat we learn something new. We get a little stronger and a little more flexible in both mind and body. It nourishes us from the inside out and is one of the best ways to take care of ourselves.

Following on from yoga, I then discovered Evlo fitness teacher training which has taught me how to design joint friendly exercise programs that are designed using physics and biomechanics to get the most out of your body whilst still maintaining your health and wellness.

This training is next level for anyone who struggles with joint pain or systemic inflammation but loves to workout!
