Joint-Friendly Yoga

In order to continue practicing yoga, we must stay mindful of works for our own individual bodies and not get caught up in what we think we ‘should’ be doing. We are all a little different and have differing needs and that needs to be acknowledged.

If a particular pose causes strain, irritation, or pain, you have my permission to delete it from your practice. There are so many poses to choose from so a different variation or an entirely different pose can help you achieve more. If you finish a class and you feel depleted, inflamed, or excessively sore then we need to look at changing that and moving towards practices that build our bodies up and contribute to our overall health and wellness. If you constantly feel like crap as a result of your workouts then what is the point? You want a practice that supports you for life. One that enables you to continue doing all the things you love for as long as possible right?
